DeLuca’s brings Vegas to Liverpool with new three-floor venue
There is a new energy pulsing through Concert Square this month. DeLuca’s has officially opened its doors, introducing a 700-capacity venue that aims to bring sport, competitive socialising and late-night entertainment together under one roof for the first time at this scale in the city.
Inspired by the spectacle and confidence of Las Vegas after dark, the three-floor complex has been carefully designed to move seamlessly from daytime drinks and live sport into full celebration as the night wears on. It is a bold addition to one of Liverpool’s best-known nightlife spots, and the response so far suggests it has landed with impact.
The interiors draw on mid-century modern design with strong 70s and 80s Americana influences. Wood panelling, vintage-style wallpapers and premium finishes sit alongside bold furniture and feature lighting, creating a space that feels distinctive, polished and built for big moments. It is the kind of place where everything has been considered, from the curve of a booth to the way the light catches a cocktail glass.
At the heart of the ground floor is The Game Lounge, where booth seating, giant screens and reactive lighting create an atmosphere built for match-day and group parties. This is where you settle in with DeLuca’s signature Hurricane cocktails as the lights flare and the room erupts with every goal, try or knockout moment.
Upstairs, The Club Room brings competitive socialising to the forefront. A 9ft American pool table, a shuffleboard table and two interactive dartboards are positioned around a central bar and DJ booth, designed to carry the room effortlessly from daytime play into late-night party. Leading from here is The Deck, an all-weather terrace overlooking Concert Square with a fully retractable roof and booth seating. By day it offers open-air drinks; by night it provides a strong vantage point over the square below. It will undoubtedly be this summer’s go-to destination.
Back at ground level, an additional outdoor area features informal seating with terrazzo-topped tables, all-weather booths and a heated canopy, ensuring there is space to gather whatever the weather or season.
But perhaps the most dramatic reveal lies beneath. Stretching under the whole DeLuca’s complex is One Below, a neon-lit subterranean nightclub designed for after-dark impact. Here, bottle service and sharers take centre stage. The Billionaire Punchbowl, a blend of premium spirits and Moët & Chandon Champagne, arrives with masks, fans and gold party cannons. For those feeling fortunate, The High Roller Spin offers a roulette-style game where choosing the right colour or number can unlock discounts or even a complimentary sharer for the table.
Beyond its weekly programme, DeLuca’s has been designed with major city moments in mind. The venue’s first large-scale celebration will be “Get Lucky”, a St Patrick’s Day takeover on 17 March, with activity and entertainment planned across all floors and outdoor spaces. Tickets are on sale now.
Oliver Clarke, Managing Director of DeLuca’s, said the venue had been a labour of love for the team.
“We’ve created a venue that brings sport, games and nightlife together. It’s somewhere that feels like an occasion from the moment you walk in – whether you’re here for a match, a birthday or late-night celebration.
“We’re incredibly proud of what the team has built and have had such an incredble response since opening the doors to DeLuca’s on Friday.”
With its Vegas swagger and Liverpool soul, DeLuca’s feels like a venue built for the long haul. If the opening weekend is anything to go by, Concert Square just got a new centre of gravity.
