Bongo’s Bingo brings the ultimate 10th anniversary party to Liverpool

For the past decade, Bongo’s Bingo has been shaking up the nightlife scene across the UK with its unique mix of bingo, rave culture and pure, unfiltered fun – sound like something for you? Now, as the team celebrates its 10th birthday, Liverpool is set to host the biggest party yet – and if you haven’t secured your tickets, there’s still time to join the madness.

Words by Jamie McFadden.

A decade ago, a wild new night was conceived in Liverpool that blended traditional bingo with otherworldly acts, rave anthems and a dose of chaos that can only be described as legendary. 10 years on, Bongo’s Bingo is a global phenomenon, having welcomed more than five million visitors across the UK and abroad. As part of this milestone, they’re bringing their biggest birthday bash to date to their home town – and you can still get last-minute tickets to join in the mayhem.

Bongo’s Bingo has been a rite of passage for those in search of something different since it opened its doors in 2015. The concept, dreamed up by Jonny Bongo, has transformed what was once a serene pastime into a frenetic experience filled with dance battles, novelty prizes and an electric atmosphere. From inflatable unicorns flying above to an entire room belting out old pop hits, no two nights are ever the same.

To mark their 10th birthday, Bongo’s Bingo is pulling out all the stops with two epic shows at Liverpool’s Exhibition Centre this weekend. Attendees can expect the signature chaos, but on a whole different level, with bigger games, even greater surprises and a host of special guests. The weekend will host throwback legends including Simon Webbe and Lee Ryan of Blue, N-Trance, and party legends the Cheeky Girls – all of whom have been a part of Bongo’s Bingo’s journey over the years.

With tomorrow being the beginning of anniversary celebrations, there is still time to reserve a spot at one of these iconic events. They’re selling tickets on the official Bongo’s Bingo website, but they won’t last long.

While Liverpool is the hub of this party, the party does not stop there. Bongo’s Bingo continues to tour the UK and the world, sharing its unique brand of anarchy with cities such as Nottingham, London, Bournemouth, Newcastle and Southampton. There is something special about its home shows, however, in front of the fans who made its history.

Reflecting on the journey, Jonny Bongo spoke of the milestone, saying, “Reaching a decade really does feel genuinely surreal. We put so much effort into making something special that everyone enjoys and wants to come back to, and these 10th birthday shows are for the fans.”

With a decade of nights to remember under their belt and still going strong, Bongo’s Bingo is live entertainment reimagined. As a long-time fan or first-timer, this anniversary celebration is an unmissable opportunity to witness the magic firsthand. Prepare for an evening of raw joy, bedlam and nostalgia – because at Bongo’s Bingo, anything goes.
