As snow flurries remind us that winter is officially here, it’s time to embrace the season in style. London’s most charming winter terraces are ready to offer a cosy refuge with twinkling lights, festive menus, and seasonal drinks. Whether you’re planning a festive get-together or simply looking to indulge in hearty winter dishes, these top spots have you covered.

The Laundry, Brixton

Nestled in the heart of Brixton, The Laundry has unveiled its enchanting winter terrace for the first time. Think fairy lights, lush greenery, and snug blankets – all housed in a glass-panelled retreat perfect for intimate gatherings or festive parties. Groups of up to 70 can even book the terrace for private celebrations.

Don’t miss their festive menu, which includes indulgent dishes like Turkey Schnitzel with brussels slaw and cranberry confit, or the decadent Black Forest Tiramisu. For an extra special experience, November diners can enjoy a DIY Raclette offering with authentic Jumi Cheese – melting your own over potatoes and cornichons for the ultimate indulgence.

Luca, Clerkenwell

Step into Luca’s hidden oasis, a foliage-filled terrace that promises an Italian escape all year round. This Michelin-starred gem is all about elegant plates and romantic vibes. With olive trees, jasmine, and a weather-proof setting, it’s an idyllic spot for a cosy date night.

Sample standout dishes like their iconic Parmesan Fries or Mezzi Paccheri with ragu bianco, brussels sprouts, chestnut, and parmesan. Pair it with a glass of fine wine for a truly luxurious evening.

The Brush, Hoxton

Transport yourself to a slice of European café culture at The Brush, where the terrace transforms into a cosy retreat with heaters and blankets. This winter, the menu is all about alpine classics: Raclette on Toast with Cumbria air-dried ham and rosemary focaccia, or Cheese Fondue featuring aged cheddar and emmental served with charred rib-eye.

Warm up with their Hazel-Nog cocktail (a hazelnut twist on eggnog) or a mulled wine spiced in-house. Perfect for a relaxed evening with friends or a festive night out.

Yasmin, Soho

Overlooking the bustling streets of Soho, Yasmin’s rooftop terrace is an urban retreat wrapped in warmth and style. With heaters, blankets, and a sleek aesthetic, it’s the perfect spot for Middle Eastern-inspired sharing plates.

Chef Tom Cenci’s menu takes inspiration from Istanbul, featuring vibrant dishes paired with expertly crafted signature cocktails. Sip on a sundowner while taking in the glittering cityscape. Yasmin’s terrace is walk-in only, so get there early to snag a seat!

Fatto a Mano, Bethnal Green and Kings Cross

Fatto a Mano brings Neapolitan pizza perfection to east London, with its Bethnal Green terrace offering heated comfort under striped umbrellas. The terrace at Kings Cross is also open this winter, serving up seasonal specials like Guanciale Cacio e Pepe or Brighton Blue & Cavolo Nero pizzas.

Perfect for casual dining with friends, Fatto a Mano combines cosy vibes with unbeatable pizza. Pair your slice with one of their beers on tap for the ultimate winter treat.

Whether it’s a winter escape to Brixton, an Italian getaway in Clerkenwell, or cosy pizza nights in Bethnal Green, these terraces are the perfect excuse to brave the cold this season. Wrap up and settle in – your perfect winter evening awaits.
