Bethnal Green just got a slice of the good life as Fatto a Mano opens its first neighbourhood pizzeria in East London. Nestled under the iconic railway arches of Paradise Row, this 65-cover restaurant brings the celebrated Neapolitan pizza brand to the capital’s coolest borough, serving up its signature hand-crafted pizzas in a relaxed yet vibrant atmosphere.

With a reputation for authentic Neapolitan flavours and locally-loved hospitality, Fatto a Mano (‘made by hand’) has been delighting Brighton and Hove since 2015. Now, it’s building on its London success, which includes popular spots in Covent Garden and King’s Cross, by offering East Londoners a taste of the South, with a twist.

Until 17th November, the Bethnal Green menu includes the limited-edition Carolina’s Meatballs pizza. This special features the restaurant’s signature 24-hour fermented dough, topped with handmade meatballs inspired by a cherished family recipe from Head of Food, Antonio Braccio. The dish also incorporates a spicy vodka-infused tomato sauce made with spirits from the East London Liquor Co., connecting with the local community. Best of all, £1 from every sale supports the Bow Foodbank, making it a treat that gives back.

The menu boasts classics like the Margherita Buffalo and Lasagna Pizza, alongside inventive options like the new Vegan Black Truffle, Spinach and Artichoke pizza. For snacks, expect delicious bites such as ‘Nduja Lasagna Fritta and Porcini Mushroom Arancini, complemented by exclusive natural wines or craft beers, including the refreshing Fatto x UnBarred Brewery Amalfi Lemon and Basil Pale Ale.

Split across two levels with warm yet industrial interiors, the restaurant offers a mezzanine for cosy gatherings and an open central kitchen for a lively dining experience. In sunnier weather, a 40-seat terrace will allow guests to soak up the East London vibes.

General Manager Michele Colella brings his expertise from Fatto a Mano Covent Garden, ensuring top-notch service. Meanwhile, the dedicated pizzaiolos will be firing up the ovens seven days a week, ready to serve the community with dine-in and takeaway options.

Fatto a Mano is as passionate about community as it is about pizza. We’re very excited to launch our first neighbourhood restaurant in London” explains founder Rupert Davidson. “We’ve loved our adventures in London so far, and Bethnal Green is like going back to the early days of our first Brighton openings, with neighbours and community being at the forefront of everything that we do

This ethos extends beyond the kitchen, with the brand supporting grassroots projects, including helping underprivileged Brighton children attend the 2024 Paris Paralympics. The new Bethnal Green location will continue this legacy of giving back, making every visit more than just a meal.
