The location carries weight. Drama Call’s new flagship occupies the former home of the legendary Sheep Shop, the iconic skate store that helped define Manchester’s fashion scene throughout the 1990s. Widely recognised as the first fashion retailer in what would later become the Northern Quarter, The Sheep Shop was also the first store in the UK to stock brands including Stüssy, Supreme, Carhartt and The North Face, inspiring a generation of creatives, skaters and street culture pioneers.
For Drama Call, the decision to open in this historic space was no accident. It is a deliberate nod to one of the city’s most influential retail destinations, a way of paying homage while writing the next chapter in its story.
Known for its distinctive aesthetic, loyal online following and high-profile collaborations with adidas and Manchester United, Drama Call has established itself as one of Manchester’s most exciting independent streetwear brands. Its recent collaboration with adidas saw the launch of the Superstar II “Drama” trainer, designed in Manchester and inspired by the brand’s local “Manneh” heritage. That same energy now has a permanent home.

The flagship store represents the brand’s first physical retail destination. Customers can browse the full collection, discover exclusive pieces and immerse themselves in the brand’s Manchester roots. The space is filled with Mancunian heritage, featuring signed vinyl records from Manchester icons The Smiths and Aitch, alongside other nods to the city’s rich cultural history.
The new store is also home to a range of Manchester-exclusive products unavailable elsewhere. Alongside exclusive polo shirts and T-shirts, customers can purchase a collection of in-store-only lifestyle accessories, including branded mugs and matchboxes created especially for the flagship.
Opening in the heart of Manchester’s Northern Quarter, one of the UK’s most celebrated independent shopping districts, the flagship further strengthens the area’s reputation as a destination for emerging fashion brands and independent retail.
