The Whisky Exchange introduces an exclusive, extra special whisky for April Fool’s Day

To celebrate the tricksters, the jokers, and everyone who can see the lighter side of life, The Whisky Exchange has bottled a special whisky for April Fool’s Day. Like the best jokes, it may look simple at first, but there’s a lot going underneath.
Not that they’ll let me know what that is, exactly. Not yet anyway. Don’t think I haven’t tried to find out, either. Despite having garnered a respectable level of inner trust with The Whisky Exchange over the years, I was met with nothing more than riddles, vagaries, and outright tomfoolery to the tune of ‘Extremely young, I wish I were older’. The nerve of it.
‘All will be revealed on 1 April at 6.00 am BST, when we’ll shine a light on this limited edition bottling,’ the folk at The Whisky Exchange tell me, with a sly wink and a coy smile. ‘If you’re quick, you’ll even have the chance to buy some tricksy whisky for yourself,’ they add, before disappearing in a plume of smoke and a lingering giggle.
Okay, I may be leaning on a little poetic license in that last line there. Suspend your disbelief a little, won’t you? At least for the next day or so, when I’ll hopefully have the full scoop (and the first sip) in hand.
