Classics Redefined: Sam Fender Teams up with Barbour International to Curate Exclusive Scotts Capsule Collection
Sam Fender designs his very first clothing collection for Barbour International and Scotts Menswear

A Sam Fender/Barbour International collaboration makes a whole heap of sense when you think about it. Sam’s style exudes a classic familiarity that finds firm roots in the verve and vigour of the mid-’80s. It’s a sound fuelled by the fires of the past, with songs like The Borders giving off Springsteenian, Born to Run vibes in the absolute best of ways – an old-school style given modern form.

You see where I’m going with this, right? Yup, Barbour International is in exactly the same business when you really get down to it. For years, the motorcycle-inspired heritage brand has been reinterpreting track-ready classics – imbuing traditional shapes and forms with an undeniably contemporary élan. Both Sam and Barbour International are, in short, masters of creating stone-cold classics for the modern masses. The collaboration gives tangible form to that said same fact.

The collection is made up of four key colours, all favourites of Sam’s – ecru, pink, port and navy. It’s a contemporary and complementary colour palette that just begs to be mixed, matched and mashed up ad infinitum. Low key but elevated, stand-out pieces from the collection – as far as we’re concerned, at least – include the Casual Jacket complete with hood and stud fastening pockets, and the ecru cotton twill overshirt. Both of which will surely prove their worth in spades over the course of the warmer months ahead.

The Sam Fender x Barbour International collection launches today and is available exclusively through Scotts Menswear and Barbour International.
