DMR Expands its Manchester Home
DMR announces the expansion of their showroom in Manchester city centre, with plans to warmly welcome clients in this Autumn.
The acquisition of the adjacent property to our showroom on St Ann’s Square provides David M Robinson with an exciting opportunity to create a contemporary retail space, perfectly reflective of their business and ambitions.
Set across two floors, the new showroom will incorporate a new Rolex VIP space and private lounge, whilst retaining the goldsmiths and watchmaker’s workshops that are currently found within the existing showroom.
DMR’s home since 1979, St Ann’s Square remains the spiritual centre of Manchester, and is a location that they are naturally proud to remain a part of.
Manager of DMR Manchester, Lee Chadwick commented, “DMR and Manchester have been joined at the hip since 1979 and the chance to expand over two floors into the store next door just couldn’t be missed.”
To assist with this exciting redevelopment, DMR has enlisted the services of Manchester’s leading architectural practice, ‘5Plus’ Architects.
Nicky Hearne, Associate at ‘5Plus’ commented, “We are delighted to be working with DMR on this very exciting project. The comprehensive refurbishment of the existing store, alongside the expansion into the adjacent unit- in one of St Ann’s Square’s loveliest buildings- offers a unique opportunity to create unprecedented accommodation in the Manchester retail sector.”
It is with a heavy heart that DMR announced the closure of their showroom on Lord Street, Southport. Having been part of the DMR family since the showroom was first opened in 1983, the closure allows a focus on their hugely successful showrooms in Liverpool One, Altrincham, Canary Wharf, and a newly expanded Manchester showroom.
