As part of their on-going series of collaborations with contemporary artists, Maison Ruinart have for 2021 joined forces with British artist David Shrigley, who is best known for his quick-witted and satirical hand-drawn artworks.
The collab sees Shrigley create two reinterpretations of the classic Ruinart label to feature on a limited edition of the new eco-designed second skin case of Ruinart Blanc de Blancs and Ruinart Rosé.
With Shrigley’s work being so attentive to the issues of our time and aligned with Ruinart’s own commitment to sustainability, the labels, adorned with quotes from his ‘Unconventional Bubbles’ artworks, feature on the champagne houses’ environmentally conscious packaging innovation, Ruinart Second Skin.
Second Skin says goodbye to the traditional single bottle gift box, in favour of a 100% paper sheath moulded to the curves of its signature bottle and composed of 100% paper, which reduces its carbon footprint by 60% and requires 90% fewer resources to produce than its gift box predecessor.
